A new world opens through a toddler’s eyes, they discover their world and evolve best in a familiar, safe and caring surroundings, that allows them to be their best version of themselves. During this stage of learning and development, their flow of thoughts are encouraged to explore boundaries by stepping out of their familiar space and adapt to new surroundings, They learn to draw, colour, follow simple instructions, create new ideas, share and care. The strategies included in this learning program are adopted to enrich their holistic growth, paving way for physical and mental well-being through fine and gross-motor activities.

The Curriculum includes a selection of play materials that enable creativity and free-play. Whilst learning is vital, KPS also ensures that its provides the closest home atmosphere by regulating their daily routine such as meal times, nap times, healthy eating habits and imbibing in them the virtue of sharing, mainly focusing on building relationships a step away from home. 



Children experience meaningful learning experiences and Hands-On activities that help them learn basic skills in a fun manner. Language and Mathematics are a major focus during the years in Kindergarden. An intrinsic & Innovative Phonic curriculum, integrated Math and science curriculum deeply enhance childrens academic development. Children are engaged in story telling, rhyme time, montessory activities, drama, free play and  interactive mind games that strongly helps in verbal and non-verbal communication and pave the way to facilitate children to model themselves uniquely. A comprehensive reading and writing program has been strongly driven into the curriculum for extensive language skills and verbal development. Field Trips connected to their learning, social activities helping them discover the real world have all been intricately woven into the curriculum to guide their learning journey. Family involvement and volunteering is an essential component of the kinder-garden learning process.


Primary years is the incubator for the best generation of leaders ,thinkers and innovators. In order to compete with the world, children are ready for the starting phase of their lives. Primary years at KPS understands the need to foster this phase with utmost care so that they develop their social, cognitive, cultural, emotional and physical skills according to the best of their abilities.

A child centric learning environment is provided to kindle their spirits and to support and enhance their learning journey. The NCERT curriculum implemented has been designed and navigated through a series of comprehensive, complex and continuous learning routines through fun filled activities to enhance the learning – teaching curve. The curriculum explores all areas of varied interests and effectively applies concepts taught in language, literacy, numeracy, science, art and PE in relationship with real world knowledge. Co-curricular activities include sports, Performing Arts (Dance & Music) and Fine Arts (Art & Craft) that make the curriculum one fit for a child’s holistic development.


An intrinsic curriculum of NCERT is followed in senior classes with innovations introduced at stages where reinforcement was essential for a more comprehensive curriculum to be built. From grade 6 onwards, teaching and learning take a more formal shape in terms of subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Political Science and Biology being introduced. The books that are followed is the NCERT, but the framework is filled in with content that challenges the minds and abilities of students. The facilitating and learning methodologies and strategies are unique and efficient, with continuous collaboration and reforms which are systematically and periodically done with experts to put together an innovative curriculum at its best with well research study material, projects and experiments. Students are independent learners and lessons are planned in a manner well suited for student academic development. A healthy mix of learning and growing paves a path for children to become confident , thus enabling them to choose their destiny with a steady mind.


Academic Assessment/Examinations, being an important part of teaching and learning process has been designed and implemented after conducting research of various international standards together with a study of the NCERT guidelines. The assessment structure is laid on maximizing learning in the classroom, inculcating the practice to use the knowledge in situations pertaining to facing real world issues and developing solutions for the same.

For Kindergarten, there are no formal examinations for these classes; however, evaluation of the child’s learning journey is done on the basis of day to day evaluating their social, emotional,  and academic growth, which in turn ensures holistic development of the child. Language and numeracy skills are guided to enable children to excel academically. These assessments are implemented  in various ways which include written assessments ,worksheets  and written work done  in school and at home, oral assessments via classroom discussions and interactions, and activity assessments that are judged primarily through Project activities, Learning center activities, creative work etc.

Our school follows the CBSE curriculum and for Primary grades (grade 1-5), Formative/Summative assessments are implemented in various ways which include written work done in school and at home, verbal assessments via classroom discussions and interactions, project assignments and co-curricular activities.

Middle school (grade 6-8) students are evaluated through formal assessments as well as through their day today and periodical performance through formative & summative assessment structures. Formal assessments are conducted in the academic session,  during the term, each examination varying depending on the board chosen by the child.. The co-scholastic performance of the students is evaluated through various activities which are either individual or group tasks. We also host various inter-class and intra-class events and competitions embedded in our curriculum and participation and performance of the students in these activities and programs helps the Class teachers, Co-curricular teachers in evaluating the co-scholastic performance of each student individually

Formal assessments are conducted in the academic session, one at the end of each term and these include components like written test, multiple assessments, portfolio/notebooks and subject enrichment. Practical classes in Science and Technology is also emphasized, taught and students are subjected to tests to evaluate their learning and to guide them to reach academic excellence.
